  POTATO SOUP Here's a simple potato soup recipe: Ingredients: 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced 1 onion, diced 2 cloves of garlic, minced 4 cups (1 liter) of chicken or vegetable broth 1 cup (240ml) of milk or cream 2 tablespoons of butter Salt and pepper to taste Optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped chives, crispy bacon bits Instructions: In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the diced potatoes to the pot, along with the chicken or vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
