The history of coffee is rich and fascinating. It originated in Ethiopia. By the 17th century, coffee had made its way to Europe, where it gained popularity. In modern era, coffee has become one of the most widely consumed beverages globally. 

  • There are over 30 combinations of coffee types in the world, but four main coffee types are Arabica, Robust, Excelsa, and Liberico and all four of them have radically different taste profiles. 
  • Humans consume 400 billion cups of coffee in a year worldwide. 
  • Coffee is the second most commercialized product in the world, only behind oil.
